I recently got a chance to pay my 2md visit to Vipassana, the meditation camp organized for 10 days. Anyone who is interested can apply for it and experience the PURE meditation experience. It’s FREE of cost.
Following are the 4 most prominent things I learned in the meditation camp:
1. The subtle art of life: If you are an adult, chances are you are not living your life fully every day. You must have a seen successful people talk about how they live in every moment and have no regrets. It seems so easy bit still most of us are not getting that life.
The problem is you have to put effort to be at the level of an ascetic, no-regrets life. And the successful people who are living it are doing so EFFORTLESSLY. How you ask?
You must have experienced that how after going to gym for 10 days without interest, it becomes so easy to wake up in the morning and going to the gym. Why? Because it has become your system. Similarly you have to put everything you want to do daily in your system without having to cringe about it. Just do it in a subtle way. For example every time your mind starts to cringe about a new task, just notice that cringe, take 3 long breaths and thing about 3 advantages you’ll get after doing it. I call it the N-3-3 RULE. If you do this it’ll stick to you for your life and you can include anything in your system.
2. Your attitude towards life is constructed by every little thing you do: If you thing you’ll start the gym from Monday, you are including procrastination not only in your physical aspect of life, but your personal and professional life. It is making you a procrastinator.
3. If you don’t want to be sad, don’t run after ephemeral happiness : How do you think successful people are able to work for 16 hours at a stretch. The answer is they don’t seek the success and happiness which they will get after being successful. They just work, work and work, and don’t expect anything.
Happiness and sadness are two sides of the same coin.
4. Whenever in stress, focus on your breaths. Period.
